How to mix floater powder:
Floater powder originates from a plant extract, hence it is organic and safe to use. Mixing the floater which is initially in powder form with soft boiling water is essential for the best results, if you live in a hard water area.
To check your local area for your water type. Water has a different level of soft-hardness so when in doubt use a soft water option (deionised or distilled water).
The ratio powder : water is printed on your floater powder container. This is a guide as to how much to use.
The ratio powder : water
3.5 gms : 1 litre deionised water for 2019. ( Approx. ONE BLUE HEAPED TEASPOON PROVIDED IN KIT )
Once you see the water starting to bubble on the base of the pot, turn off the heat. Start sprinkling the powder slowly over the water, while whisking. Whisk continually, to ensure no lumps in the mix.
Ensure adult support when mixing the powder in a hot water pot, as safety comes first.
Leave the floater overnight to cool and thicken (not in your fridge).
After mixed, its life span is 3-4 months if refrigerated and 3-4 weeks if not refrigerated. Hence you can reuse it over and over again, just keep it in a sealed container in a cool dark place (fridge or outside in winter). It turns back into water over a max period of 4 months.
Label it: ''Floater - do not drink.’’
Before you use your mixed floater, gently tilt the container 2-3 times to re-distribute the floater liquid, but do not shake.
Mixing a fresh batch after its life span of around 3-4 months is advised.
